Buyer Beware
The hail storms that struck the Oklahoma City area on May 10th and 16th have, if by magic, produced a large number of out of state roofers to prey on our citizens. The word prey is a nice way of saying dupe and target unsuspecting victims. Please know that we have several great roofing companies from here in Oklahoma City to meet your roofing needs.

Majestic Roofing Oklahoma is proud to announce that as of April 5, 2010, we are sponsoring the recently released Newsok iPhone Weather Watch application. Winterizing Your Roof - Inspecting Santa's Runway
2009 was a great year and I truly thank all the great people that allowed Majestic Roofing Oklahoma to serve them. As Winter approaches we remind everyone that cold temps can be just as hard on your roof as summer heat. In Oklahoma we can have temperatures ranging from 0 degrees to 110 degrees during any given year. Since winter is our topic, I will focus on a few items of importance.
Do I Need an Insurance Adjuster?
When should I call my insurance agent and request an adjuster to look at my roof? The answer to this question could save you money and flexibility in coverage.
Mortgage Company Incompetence
Majestic Roofing Oklahoma is preparing for the hot days of Summer, but something already has me hot under the collar, and it has nothing to do with our increasing Oklahoma temperatures. Like so many other areas of our economy some of our big named mortgage companies have struck a blow to cash flow in our industry. Let me explain this as simply as I can.
What Does Value Mean in Roofing?
Everyone looks for value in what they buy. To some a Mercedes is great value and to others, a Chevy Impala meets their value standards. When I buy food, value is freshness, content, and taste. When I annually purchase plants for my home, value is healthy looking plants and price. When I choose a surgeon for my family, value means the best available. Value in a dentist is one that hurts you the least. Do you haggle over price?
Impact Resistant, Class 4 Roofing
In Oklahoma hail is the number one cause of roof damage to your home. Now I know that is not a profound statement to anyone over the age of five. But since we are a creative culture, surely there is a way to lessen this damage caused by Mother Nature.
Local Roofing Company or Imposter
In west Oklahoma City and Yukon, a very damaging hail storm struck on February 10th of 2009. The NOAA website posted its storm report later that evening and like rats to cheese, the roofers race was on...destination OKC. This storm was the earliest and only hail damaging storm in the USA at that time.
Please, No Money Down
The roofing industry is comprised of two basic types of contractors, and I don't mean residential and commercial. From my seat at the table I see those who run responsible businesses and those who have a pickup and a ladder. And it upsets me greatly every time I see a TV reporter telling us of another citizen that has been swindled by a roofer.
Types of Depreciation
I sometimes hear a homeowner groan when I submit a Majestic Roofing Oklahoma proposal to roof their home. That usually means they are not happy about the pricing. Worse is when they do not say anything, but give you that faraway look. This causes bells and whistles to start going off in my head. When I ask inquiring questions I find that often the homeowner is really confused by their insurance settlement statement. In other words, how much money they are getting to purchase a new roof.
